…you have a written dozens of amazing songs. Your music made me pick up the guitar and play myself. Thank you.

But after 40 years of shows, I thought you had learned that…

- going on stage in black clothes with a black backdrop is not a good idea, especially in an open air situation. The audience might me there because they acually want to see you.

- the drummer throwing a used stick at the audience yields a nice souvenir. The singer pelting dozens of unused sticks  at the crowd during the third song does not.

- there have been advances in video wall technology since the early 80s. It is actually possible to display images with more than one color at the same time and those colors are not pink, turquoise and brown. Turning the video wall off half way through the show is no solution either.

- playing a ballad to catch your breath and letting the audience gather some strength is fine. Playing four ballads in a row makes the audience fall asleep, though.

- not introducing yourself when the support act does not play at all might lead to new and unfamiliar fans thinking you are the supporting act.

- introducing the third guitarist who suddenly appears on stage for one song might make sense, particularly when he is not Michael Schenker.

- you had more than enough time to learn from AC/DC how to start a show with a dramatic-but-still-down-to-earth entrance. Instead you show your audience incoherent video recordings of… what was that anyway?

I did not expect much from your show in Recklinghausen. But still I was seriously underwhelmed.
